【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthedesign,construction,andinstallationofintermediateportableflushdeckstanchions.Intermediatestanchionisdefinedasanystanchionthatisnotanendorcornerstanchion.1.2Stanchionsshallbeusedoninteriorandexteriordecks,toprovidetemporaryprotectiontominimizethedangerofpersonnelfallingoverboardortoalowerlevelintheshipinareaswheretheinstallationofafixedsystemwouldinterferewithvesseloperations.1.3Stanchionsmaybeusedwith3/8-in.(9.5-mm)galvanizedcloselinkchainorwireropelifelines9/16-in.(14-mm)topcourse,7/16-in.(11-mm)lowercourses.1.4Thisspecificationcoversonlythestanchionsanddoesnotcoverrequirementsforthechainorwireropelinestobesupportedbythestanchion.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
