【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationisforfinishedsintered(uranium-plutonium)dioxidepellets.Itappliesto(uranium-plutonium)dioxidepelletscontainingplutoniumadditionsintherangefrom10to40weight%anduraniumofany235Ucontent.Theisotopiccompositionoftheplutoniumcomponentwillbeasnormallyproducedbyin-reactorneutronirradiationofuraniumhavinglessthan5%235Uorbyin-reactorneutronirradiationofrecycledplutoniummixedwithuranium.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotinclude(1)provisionsforpreventingcriticalityaccidentsor(2)requirementsforhealthandsafety.Observanceofthisspecificationdoesnotrelievetheuseroftheobligationtobeawareofandconformtoallapplicableinternational,federal,state,andlocalregulationspertainingtopossessing,processing,shipping,orusingsourceorspecialnuclearmaterial.ExamplesofU.S.governmentdocumentsareCodeofFederalRegulationsTitle10,Part50x2014;DomesticLicensingofProductionandUtilizationFacilities;Title10,Part71x2014;PackagingandTransportationofRadioactiveMaterial;andTitle49,Part173x2014;GeneralRequirementsforShipmentsandPackaging.1.3Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetechnicalrequirementsportion,Section4,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
