【摘要】:Coresamplingiswidelyaccepted,whenapplicable,forobtainingalaboratorysamplerepresentativeofthecleanwoolfiberpresentinalotofpackagedrawwool.Ifthewoolissolooselypackedthatacorecannotbecut,orifitissohighlycompressedthatthesamplingtoolcannotreadilypenetrateintothepackagetotherequireddepthandintherequireddirection,coresamplingisnotapplicable.Thedensityofwoolinmosttypesofcommercialpackagesissuitableforsamplingbythismethod.Theproceduredescribedinthispracticeisadaptedtotheapplicationofstatisticalmethodsforestimatingthesizeofsamplerequiredtoachievearequiredlevelofsampleprecisionatminimumcost.Note18212;Thebasicsamplingequipment,operatingprocedure,andstatisticalapproachusedinthispracticehavebeenadaptedforsamplinglotsofwoolforthedeterminationofotherpropertiesthatarenotaffectedbyboring,suchasaveragefiberdiameter,andforsamplinglotsofotherbulkfibersinpackages.1.1Thispracticeforsamplingcoversaprocedureforobtainingsamplesfromlotsofgrease,pulled,orscouredwoolorrelatedanimalfibersinbalesorbagsforthedeterminationofthecleanwoolfiberpresentbyaproceduresimilartothatdescribedinTestMethodD584.1.2Thispracticeprovidesadescriptionofsuitablecoresamplingequipment,thesamplingprocedure,andthemethodfordeterminingthenumberofpackagestobeboredandthenumberofcorestobetakenfromeachsampledpackage.1.3Reliableestimatesaregivenforthestandarddeviationofthepercentagecleanwoolfiberpresentbetweenpackagesandwithinpackagesforlotsofmanytypesofrawwool.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
