【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverelectricallypoweredfloor-finishingmachinestobeusedinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.Thisproductcategoryincludesthefollowing:afloorpolisher,floorscrubber,floorsander,floorscraper,tileremover,rugshampooer,rugandfloorwasher,andasimilarmachineforcommercialuse.Amachinesuchasasanderandwetscrubberwithvacuumattachmentsisalsocovered.Theserequirementsdonotcovervacuumcleaningmachines,permanentlyconnectedmachines,orcord-connectedmachinesthatareintendedtobefastenedinplaceorlocatedinadedicatedspace.Theserequirementsdonotcovermachinesratedmorethan600volts,nordotheycovermachinesinvolvinguniversalmotorsratedmorethan250volts.Theserequirementsdonotcoverfloorfinishingmachinesforhouseholduse,whicharecoveredintheStandardforVacuumCleaners,BlowerCleaners,andHouseholdFloorFinishingMachines,UL1017/CSA-C22.2No.243.Amachinethatusessomeothersourceofenergy(suchasgasorsteam)inadditiontoelectricalenergywillbeinvestigatedundertheserequirementsandundersuchadditionalrequirementsasapplicabletothemachineunderconsideration.
